OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) display is a self light emitting technology and requires no backlight like conventional LCD displays. This Display is composed of a thin, multi-layered organic film placed between anode and cathode. the display is made up of 128×64 individual pixels, each one is turned on and off by a microcontroller. As it does not require any backlight, it reduces power consumption and is very thin.
This OLED Display module can be interfaced with any microcontroller and Arduino using SPI or I2C (IIC) protocol. This is next-generation display technology and possesses high application potential for virtually all types of displays.
It gives a blue color text on a black background with a great color contrast with a very low voltage supply of 2.8V. The module is very compact and will add a great user interface experience for Arduino or other microcontroller projects. It offers a wide viewing angle of more than 160 degrees.
